ESDC Takes First Step in Approving Moynihan Station

Moynihan District.jpgThe environmental approvals process for Moynihan Station was formally kicked off today with ESDC's release of the scoping document. The document, available here, roughly outlines what the Moynihan Station project is and what environmental impacts will have to be studied in the Environmental Impact Study. Perhaps the most significant news coming out of the document is the definition of the Moynihan Station District - the area in which the 7.5 MSF of development rights that come with the construction of Moynihan Station will be distributed. This area runs roughly from west of Fifth to west of Ninth Avenues, and from 29th to 35th Streets.
